From 3rd November 2025 until 27th March 2026 
As usual the course is open subject to prevailing weather conditions but members and visitors please note that  from November 2026 we will use  winter tees  and fairway mats tee to green. A number of summer greens will be unavailable from time to time as they are repaired but in all such cases winter greens will be available.  From 20th March 2026 we will use winter tees only. From the captain’s drive in on 28th March 2026 we will use the normal tees and fairway mats will not be required.

Saturday 28th March. Captain’s Drive In.

MEMBERS – BRS opens on 14th March for you to enter as 3 man teams (2 to score on each hole). Max handicap 24.
We wish our new Captain, Adrian Pegler, all the best for the season. Please support this event which is open to ALL 5- and 7-day members.
Bar open from 8.30 am until the last one leaves.
Please arrive early to find out your tee, Mr Captain’s will drive in will be at 9.00 am and you should then make your way to your drawn tee for a 9.30 am shotgun start.

Sunday 29th March. Lady Captain’s Drive in

MEMBERS – We wish our new Lady Captain, Sheila Antrobus, all the best for the season. Ladies, your entry sheet is in the ladies locker room and will be drawn nearer the time. Lady Captain’s team vs Comp Sec’s team over 9 holes / Stableford / Full Handicap.
Breakfast from 10.30 am. £7.50pp by BellBeau
Golf comp starts at 12 noon
Afterwards prize presentations, drinks and nibbles

BRS opens for entries on 3rd June for the Oldham invitation to be held on the 4th July

Entry Fee: £36.00 per team (3); Format: Team of 3 Stableford – best 2 score; Hcp Index Limit : 40.0 (ladies); Other Info: Includes 2’s comp.

 

 

Thursday 3rd September. Senior (55+) Gents Pairs Open.

Entry Fee : £40 per pair; Format: 4BBB Stableford; Hcp Index Limit : 28.0; Age Limit: Senior (55+); Other Info; bottom 9 twice (flat), play of yellow tees, 85% of course handicap, includes 2’s, 3 nearest pins and refreshments after the first 9 holes.

Sunday 2oth September. Mixed Team Open.

Entry Fee: £50.00 per team (4); Format: Team of 4 Stableford – best gent/lady to score; Hcp Index Limit : 28.0 (men) 36.0 (ladies); Other Info: Includes some sponsored holes. Optional 2’s comp

Friday 25th September. Ladies Individual 9 hole Open. 

Entry Fee: £5 per person [£15.00 per team (3)]; Format: Individual Stableford (9 Hole); Hcp Index Limit : 40.0 (ladies); Other Info: Includes 2’s comp and nearest the pin on 5th. All played on the flat.

The attached document is currently displayed on the notice board in the main lounge.
If you feel you have the time and enthusiasm to join the Council, please enter your name with proposer and seconder.
Council meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.00 p.m. at the Club House.
The list of any nominees will be taken to the forthcoming AGM which is to be held at the Club House on February 11th 2026.

Friday  20th March. Quiz Night.
All are welcome and the bar will open from 6.30 pm with the quiz starting at 7.30 pm and lasting around 2 hours.
Your quizmaster will be John Baines and the cost will be £10 per team (a maximum of 5 persons per team) and there will be prizes for the winners.
Just turn up on the night and we look forward to your support and a cracking night

FOOTGOLF – OPEN ALL YEAR

Footgolf is a fun and exciting sport played on a golf course with a football.  The object of the game is to place the ball into the hole using only your feet in the lowest amount of shots possible.  It combines the social aspect of golf with the countries passion for the beautiful game of Football.

Strength and precision are important in equal measure making it a fantastic game for every man, woman and child.

Our Footgolf course has been designed to test every player’s ability whether young, old or a professional footballer.

It takes around 1 hour to play 9 holes of Footgolf.
