Saturday 24th October Captains Drive OutALL MEMBERS BRS opens 10th October 2027. Shotgun Start at 9.30. Draw for starting holes from 9am. Format: Yellow tees, 85% of course handicap (Max 24 men, 36 ladies). Each team has a yellow ball which must alternate between each player. Two scores to count on every hole but one of these scores MUST be from the player using the yellow ball. If the yellow ball is lost, then no score can be recorded on that hole but the yellow ball can be replaced and passed to the next player on the following hole.

Council meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.00 p.m. at the Club House.

As usual the course is open subject to prevailing weather conditions but members and visitors please note that from November 2025 we will use winter tees and fairway mats tee to green. A number of summer greens will be unavailable from time to time as they are repaired but in all such cases winter greens will be available. From 20th March 2026 we will use winter tees only. From the captain’s drive in on 28th March 2026 we will use the normal tees, greens and fairway mats will not be required.

MEMBERS – BRS opens on 14th March for you to enter as 3 man teams (2 to score on each hole). Max handicap 24.
We wish our new Captain, Adrian Pegler, all the best for the season. Please support this event which is open to ALL 5- and 7-day members.
Bar open from 8.30 am until the last one leaves.
Please arrive early to find out your tee, Mr Captain’s will drive in will be at 9.00 am and you should then make your way to your drawn tee for a 9.30 am shotgun start.

Monday 6th January 2025We are pleased to inform you we have a new Head green keeper. Scott Robinson will commence work for Oldham Golf Club today, Monday 6th January 2025. Scott comes to Oldham with a vast experience of green keeping having started his career at Stamford Golf Club in 1990 and for the last 21 years as head green keeper at Crompton and Royton Golf Club. Scott will be assisted by Adam and together they should provide us with an excellent green keeping team. We ask you to be patient in the early stages to allow time for Scott’s experience to make any necessary changes to the course.
