Wednesday 11th February – 134th AGM

The attached document is currently displayed on the notice board in the main lounge.
If you feel you have the time and enthusiasm to join the Council, please enter your name with proposer and seconder.
Council meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.00 p.m. at the Club House.
The list of any nominees will be taken to the forthcoming AGM which is to be held at the Club House on February 11th 2026.

Friday  20th March. Quiz Night.
All are welcome and the bar will open from 6.30 pm with the quiz starting at 7.30 pm and lasting around 2 hours.
Your quizmaster will be John Baines and the cost will be £10 per team (a maximum of 5 persons per team) and there will be prizes for the winners.
Just turn up on the night and we look forward to your support and a cracking night

 

From 3rd November 2025 until 27th March 2026 
As usual the course is open subject to prevailing weather conditions but members and visitors please note that  from November 2025 we will use  winter tees  and fairway mats tee to green. A number of summer greens will be unavailable from time to time as they are repaired but in all such cases winter greens will be available.  From 20th March 2026 we will use winter tees only. From the captain’s drive in on 28th March 2026 we will use the normal tees, greens and fairway mats will not be required.

Saturday 28th March. Captain’s Drive In.

MEMBERS – BRS opens on 14th March for you to enter as 3 man teams (2 to score on each hole). Max handicap 24.
We wish our new Captain, Adrian Pegler, all the best for the season. Please support this event which is open to ALL 5- and 7-day members.
Bar open from 8.30 am until the last one leaves.
Please arrive early to find out your tee, Mr Captain’s will drive in will be at 9.00 am and you should then make your way to your drawn tee for a 9.30 am shotgun start.

Sunday 29th March. Lady Captain’s Drive in

MEMBERS – We wish our new Lady Captain, Sheila Antrobus, all the best for the season. Ladies, your entry sheet is in the ladies locker room and will be drawn nearer the time. Lady Captain’s team vs Comp Sec’s team over 9 holes / Stableford / Full Handicap.
