As from the Monday 3rd November the following restrictions come into play for protection of the course, all temp winter greens are white lined and GUR play prohibited please take relief, winter tee boxes will be in play and fairway mats in use on closely mowed areas (fairways & greens surrounding) the greens are now getting softer so please repair your pitch marks so play can progress on main greens as long as possible.

Members of OGC may also receive BRS messages regarding course conditions by email from either the membership and marketing group or the competitions and handicaps committee.

Should a course inspection not be possible and the local weather conditions be (or have become) particular poor, and there is no notification on Facebook that the course is closed, all are advised to ring us before setting off on their journey to play. Ring  0161 624 4986 Option 2 Pro Shop

Our course hole by hole descriptions, images,  3D flyovers, aerial views and scorecards can be found on our website under the menu option COURSE.

Buggy hire or a driving range is not available at Oldham Golf Club. The office 0161 624 4986 Option 1, is currently manned a couple of days in the week and the pro shop 0161 624 4986 Option 2, is currently manned most days by Brian

Golf lessons with Rudi Ryan (#rrgolf) can be booked in the pro shop 0161 624 4986 Option 2, and can be held at Oldham Golf Club, on the driving range at Heaton Park or using the indoor simulator at Marland. Golf club regripping, alterations etc. can also be arranged in the shop using RR Golf Ltd services

ATTENTION – 7-DAY MEMBERS OGC
Entry for 7 day members at OGC for the Oldham Invitation to be held on 11th May is now open on BRS. Let’s make this a day to remember for Steve and Damian. 7 day members may invite guests from other clubs, play more golf and 5 day OGC golf members with a handicap to take part in this event. Great prizes. All are welcome to the following evening of entertainment with a live band probably starting around 7.30 pm.

from Saturday 6th April – Junior Golf Sessions

Cost £2 per session per child. Pre-registration will take place at the club, usually outside the pro shop, from 12.30.  Parents- please pre-register your younger child/children with Sheila.  The junior golf coaching sessions will then take place and will last for around 1 hour. Coaching sessions thereafter will take place on Saturdays at different times around noon until October. For more information please ring Sheila on 07950 561238 or email marketing@oldhamgolfclub.com.

Sunday 24th March – Lady Captain’s Breakfast, Drive In and Competition

MEMBERS – Support your lady captain! Adele invites all ladies (social or paying members / with or without handicaps) to join her for breakfast (the price has yet to be confirmed) at 10 am, The Lady Captain’s drive in will take place at 11 am followed by a 9-hole match when  a Lady Captain’s Team will play against a Lady President’s Team.Please let Wendy Cash or Eileen Cowell know if you interested in breakfast, the match or both.

Due to the course closure on 24th March the planned competition was cancelled

 

 

 

Saturday 23rd  March 2024 – Mr Captain’s Drive In and Competition

MEMBERS – open to ALL with a handicap
Mr Captain, Steve Ogden, will drive off at 9am followed by a 4-ball team event, shotgun start, at 9.30am. The format is Stableford with best 2 scores to count. Gents off Yellow Tees, Ladies off Red. It is open to all members with a handicap, including 9-hole and 5-day members, as Mr Captain would like this to be a fully inclusive event with as many people joining as possible.
BRS will open from 9th March for you to enter your team of 4, but please remember that this is a shotgun start, with a draw for starting hole, so you will not be reserving a particular tee or tee time.
